Upload a photo to your observation!!!

2011-11-13

So far only 10% of the shared observations on National Amphibian and Reptile Mapping Program contained a photo proof. Out of these data some misidentified the species, which could be corrected based on the photo, paralelly contacting the observer about the problem. In those cases when there is no attached photo, without being sure about taxonomic knowledge of the observer, validation of a certain data is not possible, therefore the use of such data for nature conservation purposes is limited. Therefore we ask all our observers to make a photo about the observed specimen, in any quality (even by cellphone), and please share your photo by uploading it! It is very important that the photo should illustrate the exact observation, so we don't need any photo about the observed species, but we are interested in the exact observation photo. Thank you in advance!
